Dear Watsessing Community,
Welcome back to the 2017-18 school year. I hope you have had time to enjoy this past summer, traveling, relaxing, and making memories with your children, family, and friends.
It has been an eventful summer for Watsessing School as its playground was completely repaved with a new student drop-off. Be sure to take notice of the aluminum fencing which accents the playground. Ventilation fans have been installed in the multi-purpose room and some of our classroom floors have been sanded, waxed, and restored. New interior and exterior lighting will soon be completed. Our Wildcat Garden has been flourishing with its annuals blooming all summer long.
I look forward to working with you as we venture into the 2017-18 school year. With many new district initiatives, I look ahead to continue on working collaboratively with you toward positively enhancing Watsessing. Please be sure to check the Virtual Backpack on a weekly basis as this continues to provide updated and important information taking place at Watsessing School and throughout the district.
Important: Please be informed that Locust Avenue continues to be a one-way street, Monday thru Friday, during the hours of 7:30AM-9:OOAM and 3:00PM-4:OOPM. This assists with our student drop-off/pick-up and in keeping our students safe. There is also a new playground drop off for your children. Parents must keep the flow of traffic moving and cannot park on the playground. There are arrows on the playground to enter/exit from Locust Avenue and a gate for students to safely proceed onto the playground.
I look forward an exciting and productive school year. First day of school is Wednesday, September 6th . See you then!
Dr. Gina Rosamilia
Principal, Watsessing School
